The Chainsaw Man Church Arc (チェンソーマン
Synopsis[]
Picking up right after the Falling Devil's departure, Asa is seen in the hospital in the aftermaths of the Falling Devil's rampage. A broadcast on the TV appears, with Haruka announcing the founding of the Chainsaw Man Church. initially ridiculed, he later appears in a room with Fami, revealing that she is the true leader of the church. A mysterious hand reaches out from the shadows and rests on Haruka's shoulder. As of now, who this is has not been confirmed. We then cut to Yoshida who has Denji in captivity, claiming he's under their (public safety's) protection.
Denji and Yoshida have a brief chat, where Yoshida confesses that he does not want Denji to turn into Chainsaw Man anymore for the sake of the public. Denji does not take kindly to this and argues with him until agents bring out Nayuta and the two are reunited, to Yoshida's dismay. After a short passage of time, Nayuta and Denji are both shown at home, discussing the idea of Denji's restriction on Chainsaw Man. After a one sided conversation with Pochita, another broadcast from the church appears on the television. Haruka speaks briefly and then lets a fake chainsaw man speak. Denji breaks down in response to this.
Switching perspective to Yoru and Asa, we see them in their home, where Yoru proclaims that war draws nigh. Suddenly, Fami appears beside the table, initially shocked, Yoru/Asa and Fami have a conversation where Fami states that both of their dreams can be achieved. We then see the aftermath of the battle between Yoru/Asa and the Carpenter Bee devil. Denji learns of Asa's involvement with the church and is outraged.
