High Schoolers These Days (今時の高校生 Imadoki no kōkōsei?) is the 115th Chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga.
Summary[]
It has been roughly three days since the Eternity Devil started its attack; the fish have all started to rot and the toilets are unusable. As Asa lays on the floor, staring into space, Haruka tells her that if she didn't broken her mother's cellphone when she tripped, the others would've had the ability to escape the aquarium. Feeling insulted, she reminds Haruka that he claimed to be Chainsaw Man and that he should be doing something to help. Haruka becomes confused, asking what she's talking about, to which she reminds him about the starter on his chest. Haruka reveals that the starter on his chest is actually a surgical implant, and that he got it because he's just a massive fan. Asa, in disbelief, asks him to confirm that he isn't the actual Chainsaw man, to which Haruka breaks down laughing, begging Chainsaw Man to save him, much to Asa's horror.
Upon hearing Haruka's hysteria, Yoshida says to Denji that this should be his cue to do something to fix their current situation. Denji tells Yoshida that the only reason he was able to kill the Eternity Devil in his first fight with it was because it was able to reveal itself to him, but since the devil is nowhere to be found, he is unable to do anything. Denji then asks Yoshida if he's able to do something to which Yoshida pulls out a cell phone. However, Yoshida tells him that getting just one signal isn't enough to get a call for help, and he theorises that due to the power of the Eternity Devil, time has effectively stopped in the outside world, making any effort to call useless. Noting that Seigi and Nobana have both snapped in their own way, he also tells Denji that he's fine with dying, before asking him if Chainsaw Man would be able to eat the Death Devil for the good of the people, to which Denji does not respond.
Denji then leaves to find Asa, asking if she's ok as soon as he notices her sulking. She replies by saying she's hungry, to which Denji says she should then eat the fish, but she refuses, saying she can't eat it. Asa then proceeds to apologize to Denji for asking him out on a date and getting him mixed up in their current situation. She opens up, saying that she was just using him in order to turn him into a weapon, but she found that she is unable to do so because she isn't sure what she is doing is morally righteous. She guesses that this is why she's a total bore to those around her; she's too busy focusing on messing up that it drives others away from her. Thinking little of it, Denji then proceeds to sit with her and surprises her with a starfish; an edible creature that doesn't resemble a living animal. He offers it to her, asking her if she has ever eaten one before.
