Hors D'oeuvre (
Summary[]
After attaching a head to herself, the Falling Devil notices that she is naked and covers herself with a chef's uniform. She reveals her name and proclaims she'll be the chef tonight at the request of Hell's residents. Meanwhile, Yoru is trying to get away while trying to communicate with an unresponsive Asa.
In Asa's head she's currently going through one of her traumatic memories where the orphanage lady convinces Asa to let go of her cat Crambon that she saved at the expense of her mother's life, with the reasoning that one kid is allergic to it and that Asa should socialize with the other kids there instead. She promises to hand the cat over to a friend. Asa agrees only to later learn that Crambon was drowned in the nearby river. The lady says it is unfair for Asa to still have a family member while the other orphans have nothing.
Deeply unsettled by this memory, Asa wakes up screaming in fear which removes the control of the body from Yoru. Asa quickly grabs onto a nearby railing as she finds herself to be falling upside down. Due to the Falling Devil's power, countless other people start flying up into the air, with some of them going into floating doors, which presumably lead to Hell for being devoured. Unable to take back control, Yoru tells Asa not to be afraid.
