Chainsaw Man Protest (チェンソーマンデモ Chensōman Demo?) is the 133rd Chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga.
Summary[]
Seated alongside a group of clashing protestors, Yoshida explains one group of protesters are demanding that the Chainsaw Devil be treated as if he were another Devil and be put down, whilst the other group are members of the Chainsaw Man Church. Denji remarks that it feels somewhat nice that people are fighting over him, before Yoshida explains that whilst the Church initially started off consisting solely of diehard fans and devil victims, it now mostly comprises of high schoolers who don't know any better. Furthermore, as the students are soon eligible for voting, politicians have started funding the church for their own gain, with Yoshida stating that Denji no longer fully controls his own image. To prevent the likelihood of a widespread riot, he offers Denji an ultimatum; live life as a civilian, or have Nayuta executed.
Yoshida tries to coax Denji into the former by remarking how an ordinary life was all he ever wanted, and nothing about his civilian life will change. Denji refuses, saying that he wants to have it both ways, as by being Chainsaw Man, people pay attention to him. Yoshida reiterates that Public Safety would execute Nayuta if he refused, with Denji reiterating that he likes having protestors fight each other in his name. As Yoshida continues to try and warn him, Denji tries to get his fans to kill Yoshida for him, only to hear Nayuta call out from the crowd. As the two embrace, Yoshida reprimands Nayuta's handler for revealing her too early, before telling Denji that he was about to let him go. Hearing the threat to her life, Nayuta asks Denji to tell them to fuck off, with the two of them leaving immediately after, leaving Yoshida to wonder if Denji understood what he meant.
