Chapter 150

Dream's Next Stage (夢 (ゆめ) の次 (つぎ) , Yume no Tsugi^?) is the 150th Chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga.

Summary[]

As she’s being run through the alleyways on Denji’s back, Nayuta notes how everyone else seems to be carrying on with their lives despite the Fire Devil attacks. As she notes that she might have school tomorrow, something clicks in Denji; the two of them still have their ordinary life to get back to. He tells Pochita that he’s extremely happy the way he is now, only to step on a crow on the sidewalk.

Denji starts to have another conversation with Pochita, who celebrates the fact that their dream came true. He then asks Denji what dream they should achieve next, confusing him. When given several suggestions, he admits that he wants to become Chainsaw Man again.

Snapping back to reality, Denji and Nayuta watch as their apartment complex is ablaze; their pets presumably inside as well. Rushing over to try and save them, Denji is tripped by Barem, who reveals that he did this to push him over the edge. He also taunts the boy by saying that not only did he ignore Asa due to how her and Denji barely know each other, but also because his pets seem far more flammable. Shocked and enraged, he goes to pull his ripcord to retaliate, only for Barem to be shot several times by Fumiko and other Public Safety members. Just as she tells her colleagues to aim for the body parts used for his transformation trigger, the group are struck down by a cackling Whip Hybrid.
