Attack on Samurai (アタックオンサムライ Atakku on Samurai?) is the 159th Chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga.
Summary[]
Haruka tells Akoku and Nobana that they don’t have to follow him; the former says he has no place to go, whilst the latter explains that he is trying to leave but he can’t find an exit. He spots a door and assumes it’s an exit, but it’s instead a cell filled with pseudo-Chainsaw Men. Standing at the same door is the man overseeing Denji’s torture, explaining how there are various rumours on who does transform and who doesn’t, such as how much the individual worshipped Chainsaw Man or that there were Devils already among the Church’s ranks. He asks the Devil Hunter Club members how their heads weren’t affected, yet his wife - one of the people in the cell - was.
He explains how his wife was a kind woman who would pack his lunch every day, and yet she transformed whilst his ornery neighbour didn’t, believing it to be unfair since he hasn’t done anything wrong. Asa asks him if he’s sure if that’s true, to which he replies he did have an affair, but he downplays it by saying it “only lasted” six months. Yoru realised that he’s only buying time and kicks Fami out of the way, saving her from a strike from Katana Man. The attack seemed to have rattled Guillotine Devil enough to have caused it to retreat, with the Famine Devil calling it useless in response. The Nail Fiend who was partnered with Katana Man on the Chainsaw Man Church raid also appears, attempting to strike Fami as well, though Yoru kicks her out of the way again, giving her a bloody nose in the process. The fiend mocks Yoru and tells her to be more gentle, though she responds that it should try having only one arm.
