How to Eat Sushi (
Summary[]
Barem starts his routine, stating that in order to fully enjoy sushi one goes from lighter toppings to richer ones. Denji responds by telling him to go to hell but Barem reminds him to play along else he can't see Nayuta. He reluctantly eats the tamago nigiri. Barem then presents him with squid sushi, which Denji scarfs down, though his manners leaves the Flamethrower Hybrid annoyed. Knocking over the plates in frustration, Denji asks if simply killing the Public Safety members outside will be enough for him to see his sister, though Barem explains that Public Safety - and the remnants of the Chainsaw Man Church, for that matter - just wants some of Chainsaw Man's power. He states that Denji's current form as Chainsaw Man is "incomplete" and the form they want is the Chainsaw Devil that can erase concepts from existence.
Denji, entirely unaware of this power, asks him how that makes any sense; chainsaws only chop down trees, after all. Barem hypothesises that chainsaws might've had other uses before they were erased as well, leaving tree-felling as the only one that exists in memory. Giving Denji some lean tuna sushi, he states that two factors are required to summon the Chainsaw Devil: everyone's fear, as well as his unhappiness. Gleeful, he expresses that the former was impossible due to his superhero status, but thanks to the Fire Devil, people are now terrified of him. Barem announces that the next sushi is fatty tuna, before telling the head chef to send "it" down the belt. The customers of Sushishi, including Denji's party, all react in shock, repulsion, and confusion. Denji turns to see that the dish that arrived was Nayuta's severed head.

Trivia[]
- Chainsaws having forgotten powers besides felling trees likely stems from how chainsaws originally served the role of surgical tools.
