Chapter 199

Enjoy Your Food (おいしく食 (た) べよう, Oishiku Tabeyō^?) is the 199th Chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga.

Summary[]

Falling Devil tells her boss that the duo are probably staring at her exposed underwear, causing the Death Devil to cover herself up. She answers her sister by explaining that even if she could die, if she did another Death Devil who would likely be less sympathetic to humans than her would spawn. Fake Chainsaw Man asks if she couldn’t just quit, and she states that the process is something subconscious; whether he wills it or not, humanity will fear death the most on the day of The Prophecy. Famine suggests that she get eaten by Chainsaw Man, saving everyone by erasing the concept of death. Death pauses and considers it, but tells the other two that if they want to help protect humanity, they must work with her. The Fake Chainsaw Man eagerly accepts, though Death reveals it’s impossible since she’s going to eat them instead.

A murder of crows is summoned, devouring Famine and the Fake Chainsaw Man alive. Falling Devil asks her boss how the meal was, to which she replies it tasted bad, before throwing up miniature dolls of Famine and Fake Chainsaw. Falling reveals that Death’s power is to control those who she kills, though she’s curious as to why she doesn’t kill her victims prior to devouring them, to which the Death Devil says she finds it more respectful and delicious. She moves to summon her sister and the Fake Chainsaw Man, but Famine retaliates as soon as she does so, with Falling threatening to slice off Famine’s head. Death responds by ordering Famine and Fake Chainsaw to cause as much terror as possible; their status as dolls forcing them to comply.
