Chapter 76

Don't Open It (開 (あ) けちゃダメ, Akecha Dame^?) is the 76th chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga series.

Summary[]

A young boy plans to go play soccer with his friends. As he heads out of the door, the city he is in is obliterated by the Gun Devil's presence, as it makes its way towards Makima. Continuing to move, multiple examples of its devastation are shown, as thousands are shot through the heart instantaneously. Exactly 4 seconds after its first appearance, the Gun Devil pauses, before locking its weapons onto Makima. One second later, Makima is shot through the head, marking her 29th recorded death. She instantly recovers, however, as her brain matter forms a halo around her head. The Gun Devil pauses once more. As Makima stands, the bodies of Prinz, Sawatari, Aki, Angel Devil, Kurose and Tendo are shown attached to her. Summoning the combined power of all of their Devil contracts, a sudden hole opens in the sky above the Gun Devil, as a swarm of creatures descend.

At their apartment, Denji hears a knock on the door and goes to answer it, assuming Aki is home. However, as he reaches for the handle, he sees a vision of his nightmare, as Pochita's words echo through his head: "Don't Open It".
