A Dog's Feeling (
Summary[]
After receiving the money from Aki's will, Denji and Power rent a new apartment and spend much of it on food.
One night, Denji goes out for a walk. After purchasing some ice cream, he sits on a bench. Noting the word 'winner' on the ice cream's stick, he thinks the words "I Killed Aki" and immediately vomits. Laying down, he thinks of how he has felt confused and unhappy since Aki's death, and begins to speak to Pochita.
Before he can say anything, however, Makima appears. Touching his hands, she warns him that he feels cold, and tells him to stand up. Denji complies, still in a confused fugue state. Makima leads him to her apartment, inviting Denji inside, where the two are swarmed with her many pet dogs. Makima briefly pampers the dogs, petting them and talking to them excitedly.
Makima offers Denji some tea and tiramisu, as she continues to dote on her dogs with treats and belly rubs. Denji, watching her, thinks on how much calmer and happier he feels. He thanks her, and she begins to pet him.
Makima then reminds Denji of his reward for defeating the Gun Devil: A wish. After considering for a moment, he states he wants to be treated as one of her dogs.
