The Ear Devil (
Appearance[]
The Ear Devil resembles a muscular humanoid figure with twisted smooth flesh and a large gaping mouth with a small tear near his lips. His most notable feature are two oversized ears on the upper portions of his head. He also wears dark-colored pants and shoes, and is usually seen slumping forward.
Personality[]
Not much can be currently inferred about the Ear Devil's personality as he was only shown following orders under Public Safety.
Plot[]
Current arc[]
The Ear Devil is summoned by Public Safety as a member of the newly-reformed Special Division 5 to subdue Chainsaw Man alongside his teammates. The group is given orders by their superior, and head out to confront Pochita. However, none of them realize that their target is literally standing right behind them.[1]
Before each member can react in time, Pochita blitzes past Special Division 5 and shreds them to pieces. Once Pochita finishes defeating Special Divisions 5 and 6, he proceeds to consume the decapitated head of the Ear Devil, erasing him from existence. The erasure of the Ear Devil also causes everyone's ears to vanish in the process, rendering them all deaf.[2]
This was only temporary as Public Safety uses the Aging Devil and Hirofumi Yoshida's Octopus Devil to forcibly make Pochita vomit out the Ear Devil's head, restoring everyone's ears back to normal.[3]
Abilities[]
As a Devil, the Ear Devil possesses all of the standard Devil abilities. His initial powers are currently unknown as he wasn't able to utilize them due to Pochita swiftly attacking him and his teammates from behind.
