"Gyohnee!! (ギョニー Gyonī!!?)"
The Guillotine Devil (ギロチンの
Appearance[]
The Guillotine Devil is reminiscent of a large monstrous pigeon. It features a pair of ears at the base of its beak, and its head maintains a constant right-leaning tilt.
Its body is covered by wings shaped like a cape, revealing its front resembling skeletal structure consisting of a spine, pelvis, and legs. Instead of a rib cage, a large guillotine blade occupies its place. The Guillotine Devil also lacks apparent feet, as its legs bend at the knee and seem to terminate at the Tibia.
Personality[]
In spite of being Fami's pawn, the Guillotine Devil shows an unusual level of independence as it only cuts apart the weapons and clothes of Public Safety members instead of killing them as Fami orders it. When faced with a considerable threat, it retreats and leaves its master to fend for herself. Its intelligence seems to be on the lower spectrum as it can only repeat the phrase "Gyohnee!!" but is intelligent enough to follow its orders to a limited extent.
Plot[]
History[]
At some point in time, the Guillotine Devil was collected as one of Fami's pawns she planned on using for future purposes.
Current arc[]
When Asa Mitaka and Fami storm the Tokyo Devil Detention Center to save Chainsaw Man, they are confronted by a group of Devil Detention Center personnel due to Asa blowing the duo's cover.[1] Fami then summons the Guillotine Devil and orders it to kill the guards. However, it chooses to slice up the guards' weaponry and clothing instead, to which Fami reprimands it for not killing them like she ordered it to.
After the guards have been dealt with, Haruka, Nobana, and Seigi are freed in the process. Upon realizing they have a chance of seeing Chainsaw Man in the flesh, the trio decide to accompany Fami's group as they venture deeper into the facility's defenses.[2]
However, when Katana Man and the Nail Fiend ambush the group near a room filled with Pseudo-Chainsaw People, the Guillotine Devil returns back into its effigy form, much to Fami's annoyance.[3]
Abilities[]
Physical Abilities[]
- Enhanced Durability: The Guillotine Devil displays great levels of durability, as it is capable of withstanding multiple gunshots to its body when fighting a group of armed Devil Detention Center personnel.[2]
Devil Powers[]
- Slicing: By spreading one of its wings, the Guillotine Devil can attack by slicing its targets to shreds rather than the typical decapitation associated with the fear its based on. This is due to it being weaker as a result of being summoned under Fami's control.[2]
