The Muscle Devil (筋 (きん) 肉 (にく) の悪 (あく) 魔 (ま) , Kin'niku no Akuma^?) is a devil that embodies the fear of muscles.

He serves as the tertiary antagonist in the Intro arc. He is a manga-only character, having been cut from the anime.

Appearance

The Muscle Devil's initial form appears as a small cycloptic snake with a weak and innocent appearance to be deceptively vulnerable.

By manipulating his muscles he reveals his true form as a large snake-like mass of skinless muscles with multiple eyes and a mouth full of crooked teeth.

Personality

The Muscle Devil is sadistic and cunning, using trickery to make Denji let his guard down and controlling a little girl's body as a pawn to do so.

He has a great hatred towards humans; taking a little girl prisoner to torture her and breaking Denji's arm just as a demonstration of his abilities.

Plot

Intro arc

Denji killing the Muscle Devil.

Denji encountered the Muscle Devil with a young girl, who tried stopping Denji from hurting the devil as she claims he helped save her from her abusive father. Denji is conflicted over what to do, and offered the three of them to run together as he believed from his experience with Pochita that there are good devils.

As soon as Denji let down his guard the Muscle Devil used that moment and grabbed Denji before tearing his arm muscles. The devil planned to kill Denji and then have fun with the child, but Denji transformed into his Chainsaw Man form and shredded the Muscle Devil to pieces.

Abilities

As a Devil, the Muscle Devil possesses all of the standard devil abilities.

• Muscle Manipulation: The Muscle Devil can control any muscles he touches, allowing him to break his opponent's body just by touching them By manipulating his muscles, the Muscle Devil can increase in size and strength.
