Plot

History

At some point, prior to the event of Chainsaw Man, the Nuclear Weapons Devil was eaten by Pochita, thus ridding its existence along with the existence of nuclear weapons from the world. This causes one of the Horsemen, Yoru, to pursue the Chainsaw Man in order to make him vomit the nuclear weapons back up.

Current arc

After handling the Falling Devil, Yoru learns of an ongoing war between the U.S.A. and Soviet Union, where the American military had reportedly deployed a powerful atomic weapon on several Soviet cities. This weapon mainly uses atomic energy and was originally planned for use on Devils before being used as a fast track to end that war. Upon seeing the weapon in action, Yoru finally remembers of the existence of nuclear weapons. Yoru notes that the Nuclear Weapons Devil wasn't vomited back up by Pochita, but rather that nuclear weapons had been re-invented from scratch by the United States of America.
