Shin Toma is one of the Japanese Government Officials who had a meeting in order to discuss the potential of erasing the Aging Devil from existence and its affects on the people of Japan.
Toma’s surname comprises of the kanji for door (戸) and interval or space (間). The kanji “戸” is also used as a measurement of counting houses, so his surname could translate to “a space between counting houses.”
