Taiyo Hayakawa (早 (はや) 川 (はわ) 太 (たい) 陽 (よう) , Hayakawa Taiyō^?) was the younger brother of Aki Hayakawa who was killed by the Gun Devil.

Taiyo was a young boy who heavily resembled his older brother.

Taiyo was innocent and fun-loving, caring a lot for his older brother and parents.

History

Eternity Devil arc

Taiyo, though sick, went outside to play with Aki in the winter. After a snowball fight, he ran inside his home to get a ball to play catch with, when suddenly, he and his parents were killed by the Gun Devil in the blink of an eye.

Gun Devil arc

In Aki's fantasy, set in the same landscape of Taiyo's final moments, Denji is replaced by Taiyo, who has returned with gloves and a ball to play catch. The final page of the chapter shows Aki and Taiyo playing.

Etymology

• The surname Hayakawa means "fast, rapid" (早 (はや) , haya^?) and "river" (川 (かわ) , kawa^?). His given name Taiyo means the "sun" (太 (たい) 陽 (よう) , taiyō^?).
